Brownell Public Library invites the community to participate in its popular Costume Swap, providing families with a budget-friendly and earth-conscious approach to Halloween preparations.
Event Details:
- Costume Drop-off: October 6th - 17th, during library hours
- Costume Swap Day: October 18th, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Location: Brownell Library, 6 Lincoln Street, Essex Junction, VT
Starting October 6th, community members can bring gently used costumes and costume pieces of all sizes to the library during regular operating hours. The collection period runs through October 17th, culminating in the Costume Swap on October 18th—a full day of costume browsing and selection, completely free for all participants.
Brownell’s annual Costume Swap is a win for both budgets and the environment. Participants can refresh their Halloween looks without the expense of purchasing new costumes, declutter their closets for a good cause, keep textiles out of landfills, and foster a culture of reuse within our community.
Costumes for all ages are welcome. Please ensure donated items are clean and in good repair. Following the swap day, any remaining costumes will be donated to Goodwill.
