On Monday, June 20th, the preliminary 2023 Grand List was filed with the Clerk’s office, and Change of Real Estate Appraisal Notices was mailed to all affected property owners in which there was a change in assessed value and/or a change in homestead/house site value. A change in value may be the result of new construction, additions, demolitions, subdivisions, and/or data corrections. therefore, not all properties will have a change in value. For those owners that do not receive a Change of Real Estate Value Notice, the assessed value will not change over last year. 


Once the Grand List is filed with the Clerk’s office, all property owners who feel aggrieved by the action of the Assessor have a right to appeal their assessed value and must submit a grievance letter to the Assessor by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 5th.
