After a fantastic opening event, Meet Me on Main returns this Saturday, September 26, for the second of three community celebrations on Main Street in Essex Junction!
“We had a fantastic turnout for our first Meet Me on Main event, and it was great to see so many people enjoying Main Street together,” said Mark Brislin, Director of Essex Junction Recreation and Parks. “We’re excited to build on that energy this Saturday with another great lineup of entertainment, food, local artisans, family activities, and a movie to close out the evening.”
From 4:00–7:00 p.m., the Five Corners segment of Main Street to Railroad Avenue will once again be transformed into a lively community gathering featuring food vendors, local artisans, children’s activities, live entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to connect with friends and neighbors.
This week’s entertainment lineup includes:
- 4:15–5:00 p.m. – Jason Tardy: Award-winning comedy juggler
- 5:15–5:45 p.m. – Vermont Comedy Arts: Good, clean improv fun for the whole family
- 6:00–7:00 p.m. – Swell: An acoustic trio with a relaxed vibe playing music you know
- 7:00 p.m. – Outdoor showing of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"
Following the community celebration, stick around for the family movie and s’mores from 7:00–9:00 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket, grab something delicious from one of the food vendors, explore the work of local artisans, and enjoy another great Saturday evening together.
Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between Five Corners and Railroad Avenue from approximately 1:00–10:30 p.m. Side streets and nearby public parking areas will remain open.
There are only two Meet Me on Main events remaining—don’t miss this Saturday’s fun! The final event in the series will take place on Saturday, October 3.
