Railroad Avenue Waterline Replacement Project

Today, the Contractor finished installing new waterline along Railroad Avenue, the waterline installation is now completed. They also backfilled all open excavations, opened all roads and driveways, consolidated equipment as much as they could, and swept the site.

On Monday, the Contractor will pressure test the new waterline. They will also start excavating existing material from the waterline trench and begin installing gravel to rebuild the disturbed portion of Railroad Avenue and Lincoln Place.

On Monday, the driveway for 28 Railroad Avenue will be closed. Please have your vehicles out of your driveway by 8:30 AM Monday morning.

The contractor provides the best prediction of their next work cycle. Please keep in mind that construction is a fluid process, and sometimes plans must change based on weather, conditions found in the field, or other factors.

Throughout construction, we will send daily emails about progress and the anticipated schedule, as they may relate to access and disruptions to adjacent properties. For general questions or to receive daily project email updates, please email RailroadAveWaterline@dlhce.com to request to be added to the project email distribution list.

Main Street Sidewalk Replacement Project

On Monday, Poulin Companies, LLC will be on site mobilizing equipment, setting up traffic control, sawcutting asphalt, and preparing to start the Main Street Sidewalk Replacement Project.

The Contractor has previously stated that they plan on starting on the South side of Main Street, at the Pleasant Street intersection, working their way West towards Railroad Street. These plans may have changed; more information will be coming next week.

On Monday, Main Street may be reduced to alternating one-way traffic while equipment and materials are being unloaded at the site. Traffic control will be in-place to help direct traffic.
