Railroad Avenue Waterline Replacement Project
Today the Contractor installed top course pavement on all of the disturbed areas along Railroad Avenue, Lincoln Place, and Central Street.
Tomorrow the Contractor will pour new sidewalk where it was disturbed by the waterline work along Railroad Avenue.
The contractor provides the best prediction of their next work cycle. Please keep in mind that construction is a fluid process, and sometimes plans must change based on weather, conditions found in the field, or other factors.
Throughout construction, we will send daily emails about progress and the anticipated schedule, as they may relate to access and disruptions to adjacent properties. For general questions or to receive daily project email updates, please email RailroadAveWaterline@dlhce.com to request to be added to the project email distribution list.
Main Street Sidewalk Replacement Project
Today the Contractor poured new sidewalk along Main Street between A.W. Rich Funeral Home and 53 Main Street. They also poured a small section of new sidewalk in front of 51 Main Street.
The driveways for A.W. Rich Funeral Home, Champlain Gynecology, Skin Deep Medical Aesthetics, and True Path Wellness are closed at the Main Street entrances. Please use one of the secondary entrances, such as the entrance on Pleasant Street, through the Calvary Baptist Church parking lot, or the entrance on Church Street.
Tomorrow the Contractor will remove the sidewalk forms from the new sections of sidewalk they poured today, and they will add gravel between the sidewalk and existing pavement to open the driveways that are closed. They will also install sidewalk forms and pour new sidewalk in front of 51 Main Street, connecting the two sections they installed today.
Tomorrow Main Street may be reduced to alternating one-way traffic while equipment or material is being delivered or removed from the site. Traffic control will be in-place to help direct traffic.
