The Main Street Sidewalk Replacement Project is tentatively scheduled to start June 8, 2026. Poulin Companies, LLC will replace the existing sidewalks along Main Street between Pleasant Street and Railroad Street, and between Grove Street and Ivy Lane.
The contractor will attempt to maintain two-way traffic to the extent possible, with periods of alternating one-way traffic as necessary. Traffic control will be in place to help direct traffic.
Portions of the sidewalks will be closed within the work zone, with appropriate pedestrian detours and signs in place to direct pedestrian traffic.
Throughout construction, the City Engineer will send daily emails about progress and the anticipated schedule, as they relate to access and disruptions to the adjacent properties. An initial email will be sent on June 5th as a reminder of the June 8th start date.
