Residents are invited to participate in a community drive on December 1, 2025, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the City Offices, located at 2 Lincoln Street. This event is organized to benefit Aunt Dot's Place.
In addition to supporting a worthy cause, the event presents a unique opportunity for residents to engage directly with the City Council. Members will be available to hear community feedback and answer questions, while supporting a worthy cause.
The drive falls on the utility bill due date, making it a convenient time for residents to contribute while taking care of their regular obligations. Residents are encouraged to bring items to help fill the van generously provided by Matt Lumsden Real Estate.
Some items that are most in need include:
- Toothpaste/toothbrushes
- Laundry detergent (small/med
- bottles OR laundry soap sheets)
- Dish soap
- Diapers/wipes
- Shampoo
- Deodorant
- Feminine products
- Dried pasta
- Pasta sauce
- Canned pasta
- Chili
- Black beans (can/dried)
- Canned tuna/chicken/salmon
- Oatmeal
- Taco kits
- Fruit cups/applesauce
Looking ahead, the City Council plans to host a similar event in the spring to benefit Heavenly Food Pantry.
