Following the resignation of one of its members, the Essex Selectboard is looking for candidates to fill the open seat. All residents of Essex, including the Village of Essex Junction, are welcome to apply.
The Selectboard will review applications and interview candidates, and will appoint someone to fill the open seat through March 2021. At 2021 Town Meeting next March, voters will elect a candidate to fill the remaining year of the three-year term.
The Selectboard meets Monday and Tuesday evenings, typically three times per month. At least one and often two of the meetings include joint business with the Essex Junction Board of Trustees.
Interviews are tentatively scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, June 9.
