The City Public Works Department will be removing trees from the median on Pearl Street tomorrow (December 18). This removal was previously scheduled for earlier this month, but was delayed due to inclement weather. The trees are being removed due to the Emerald Ash Borer being detected in the trees. As the City finalizes the design for multimodal improvements along Pearl Street, we will also consider future tree plantings.
Please note that there will be a temporary one-lane closure to westbound traffic on Pearl Street while the trees are being removed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to maintain the safety and health of our community’s trees.
