The City of Essex Junction invites residents and stakeholders to participate in a Public Open House for the Essex Junction Multimodal Train and Bus Station (Amtrak Station) on September 4, 2025, at 6:30 PM. The meeting will take place at the City Offices located at 2 Lincoln Street and online via Zoom.
During the Open House, the project team will present initial concepts and proposals to gather public feedback. The key component of the project is the construction of a new roof canopy to provide shelter for passengers. Additional elements may include roadway improvements, site work, parking reconfiguration, stormwater drainage upgrades, wayfinding signage, landscaping, fire safety system enhancements, a bird deterrent system, and other modifications aimed at improving the passenger experience.
As part of this community engagement process, residents are encouraged to share their insights on the proposed improvements to the station. A survey is available for public input and can be accessed at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WDQSQY5.
