The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch for the Champlain and Lower Connecticut River valleys from Wednesday thru Friday. Heat index values are expected to reach 105°F in the Watch area and 95-100°F elsewhere, creating an increased risk for heat-related illnesses. Ongoing hot daytime temperatures with warm overnight temperatures will put people without access to air conditioning at especially high risk. Find more forecast info and the latest NWS alerts.
