Excelerate Essex: Co-Working Space Moving to Earthlogic

Posted Tuesday, April 17, 2018

In May Excelerate Essex, the co-working space will have a new home by relocating to the Earthlogic building located at 56 Main Street, at the corner of Grove Street.  This move will better utilize the space now occupied by Earthlogic, a full-service web and brand development firm engaged in a wide variety of creative design and production activities.

Emir Heco, the founder of Excelerate Essex and local entrepreneur believes this transition will add a new dimension to co-working opportunities in Essex: “We wholeheartedly believe that this move will strengthen our community and better position us to support existing and recruit new start-ups and businesses. Joining forces with Earthlogic, a vital Essex Junction business, gives us strength in numbers and a consistent onsite presence that will allow us to have a bigger impact in our community and better support all of our members.”

The Earthlogic building provides great downtown Essex Junction location. This unique and funky creative collaborative environment offers open work spaces that are comfortable and inspiring, on-site parking and direct access to a Green Mountain Transit bus route. Moreover, the facility is a short walking distance to the Amtrak station and co-located bus station.

Monthly rental fees range from $150 to $600 and include use of shared conference spaces; a full kitchen and kitchenette with access to an espresso bar, cold brewed coffee on nitro, multiple bathrooms with a shower; large screen projector; opportunities to break from work for recreation; and an ADA compliant ramp.  Earthlogic has experience delivering a co-working environment having shared this space with other local professionals for the last few years.

The structure was built in 1870 by a local Baptist Church.  In 1926, it was purchased for use as a regional masonic temple.  In 2004, Unity Church acquired the building from the Masons and operated for 8 years at this location.  The building was purchased in 2014 by Logic Properties, a corporation owned by Earthlogic president Chris Kesler.  It was transformed by a major renovation, with sections of the building restored to its original structure with contemporary upgrades.

Earthlogic President Chris Kesler is enthusiastic to expand on his prior commitment to sharing space and resources with other businesses by adding the resources of Excelerate Essex to his mission: “This is a really exciting opportunity to join entrepreneurial forces with Excelerate Essex and Emir.  We are in the process of reconfiguring our space to accommodate and attract like-minded innovators who will add energy and jobs to the Essex community.”

Excelerate Essex welcomes start-ups, entrepreneurs, remote workers, and companies seeking a satellite office to call E2 / Earthlogic home.  Those interested in more information or in visiting the space should contact Chris Kesler at 802-488-0089 or chris.kesler@ earthlogic.com.
