The Town of Essex and the Village of Essex Junction are holding a series of listening sessions to gather resident feedback on proposed options for a potential merger between the two municipal governments.
We are looking for Essex residents who would be interested in sharing their opinions by participating in a 90-minute group discussion with fellow citizens. These listening sessions will be moderated by our research partner KSV and will be similar to a focus group. Town of Essex and Village of Essex Junction municipal officials will not be present at the sessions, but will be briefed on the output of the discussions at a later date.
The listening sessions will take place during the evenings of August 13-15, 2019. Refreshments will be provided. This will help ensure that we recruit a diverse mix of Essex residents for these sessions.
IMPORTANT: The intention is to keep the names and identity of participants confidential, but statements made during the sessions will become public if a public records request is made.
