July 1 - Musical Instrument Petting Zoo - Explore the Science of Sound! Take a sound safari to explore how different instrument families create their unique sounds! Get hands-on with various instruments while investigating the invisible world of sound waves that travel from vibrating objects to your ears.All ages welcome.

July 9 - Learn About Luthiers with Creston Lea - Explore the Science of Sound! Local luthier Creston Lea of Creston Electric Instruments, whose guitars are played by musicians all over the world, will teach everyone about the guitar making process. All ages welcome.

July 25 - Instruments from Recycled Materials - Explore the Science of Sound! Transform everyday recyclables into musical marvels while discovering how shape, size, and materials determine the unique sounds instruments make. Then, we'll practice a song together and march around the library grounds in a mini parade. Best for ages 6-11.

July 31 - Circuit Sounds - Explore the Science of Sound! Learn how electric speakers, microphones, and instruments work. We will use breadboards, a 555-timer, and some other electronic components to build Morse Code machines! Best for older children and teens.
