Saturnalia 2025: A Celebration of Light at Brownell Library

Friday, December 19, 2025
PM – 7 PM

Friends, Romans, Countrymen, and everyone else of all ages: Come to the second annual Saturnalia celebration to make ancient crafts, play ancient board games, and eat ancient foods (pizza is ancient, right?)! Saturnalia was the ancient Roman winter solstice festival, celebrating light and the turn of the seasons, so we will wrap up our Hands-On Humanities program series with this celebration of history, ancient religion, and levity. Io Saturnalia! Look for more Hands-on Humanities programs in the Youth section.
