Comics Workshop with Marek Bennet at Brownell Library

Join award-winning cartoonist & educator Marek Bennett for a closer look at the VT Reads 2022 book, The Most Costly Journey. Marek presents some of the many comics documenting human migrations & struggles throughout the ages, and leads a hands-on demo to show how YOU can cartoon the stories of your own family, neighborhood, and wider world.  (No prior art experience needed — Everybody can create comics!) This is a two part series with an introduction to DIY Comics on February 17th and a follow up workshop to complete your creation on February 24th. It is also a hybrid program geared towards older children and teens (adults are also welcome). Join in person in the Brownell Community Room, or register to receive the virtual link.
