Pearl Street (VT Route 15), from Warner Avenue to Weston Way (Champlain Valley Exposition’s southwestern access driveway)

Project Status

On July 22, 2026, City Council accepted the Pearl Street Pedestrian Crossing Scoping Study and endorsed Alternative 2 (crosswalk and RRFB at Willeys Corner) as the preferred alternative. The project has been added to the City’s capital project list for future funding and implementation.

Project Overview

The City of Essex Junction worked with CCRPC and consultant Hoyle Tanner to evaluate potential pedestrian crossings on Pearl Street (VT 15) between Warner Avenue and Weston Way. This section of Pearl Street has no crosswalk today and is a Class 1 Town Highway with bus stops on both sides of the road.
