Timeline & Get Involved

The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed amendments on September 3, 2026 and voted to forward them to the City Council. The Council will take up the amendments at its meeting on September 23, 2026. Before adopting any changes, the Council must hold its own public hearing, which it is expected to schedule for later in the fall. The Council may adopt the amendments, make changes to them, or decline to adopt them.

Your input matters most at the public hearing, but you can share thoughts or ask questions any time.

• Attend a public hearingThe City Council has not yet set a hearing date. Once it does, the date will be posted here and warned in accordance with state law. Council meetings are held in person at 2 Lincoln Street and are available remotely by video and phone. Connection instructions are available here.
