Anything other than human waste and toilet paper can clog our sewage system and costs ratepayers money to be removed. The clogs can cause untreated sewage releases to the environment. Essex Junction removes several tons of unnecessary waste per year from our treatment facility including flushable wipes, dental floss, feminine hygiene products, diapers, paper towels, and cotton swabs and so much more.
