The Essex Police Department participated in prescription drug take-back day on Saturday, April 27. The purpose of this event is to ensure the safe disposal of prescription drugs so that they don't get into the wrong hands or pollute our waterways and wildlife.
Law enforcement agencies across Vermont participated in prescription drug take-back day. Essex Police collected 317.83 lbs of prescription drugs, the second highest poundage in in the state of Vermont.
