The Village of Essex Junction & Town of Essex are pleased to announce that an article co-authored by Chelsea Mandigo and Annie Costandi, Village Stormwater Coordinator/Wastewater Operator and Town Stormwater Coordinator/Engineer, respectively, is the cover story in the spring edition of the Worldwater Stormwater Management publication.

Annie and Chelsea co-chair the Rethink Runoff program, which is an ongoing awareness and public outreach effort to reduce dirt and pollutants in stormwater runoff in the Lake Champlain Basin.  The article, titled “Rethink Runoff to Restore Water Quality of Lake Champlain,” highlights their work educating the public on steps that every one of us can take towards improving the health of Lake Champlain, such as picking up pet waste and refraining from using fertilizers on lawns.

Worldwater Stormwater Management is published by the Water Environment Federation, a not-for-profit technical and educational organization of 35,000 individual members and 75 affiliated Member Associations representing water quality professionals around the world.
