Why not offer your place? Much smaller Vermont towns find beds for all these musicians each year. Now it's Our Turn!
Hosts do not need to have school-age children. Ideally, hosts will live within a short driving distance (Essex, Jericho, Westford.)
Hosts need to have background checks, so time is of the essence. Hosts must house at least two students.
Here are specifics:
Students from around the state have auditioned and been selected to participate in Chorus, Band, Orchestra, and Jazz Ensembles.
The festival will be held May 9-12, finishing with a concert on the 12th. Host families are needed for three nights (May 9-11) for the out-of-town students.
Can you help by housing 2 (or more) students?
As a host you will provide:
-A place for them to sleep.
-Students may share a room, but not a bed.
-Couches/air mattresses are acceptable.
-Breakfast during their stay, and perhaps an evening snack.
-Transportation to and from Essex High School. (Note: children of host families may not drive All State participants.)
