6 Things to Know About Village Annual Meeting
-The Village Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 PM at Essex High School.
-A free dinner is available at 6 PM, prior to the start of the meeting.
-Free childcare is available starting at 7 PM.
-The Village general fund budget (i.e. roads, fire department, library, etc.) will be voted on here.
-The current proposed budget would increase the Village municipal tax rate by an estimated $0.0087 per $100 of assessed valuation or 2.81%. For a resident whose home is valued at $280,000 the increase would be $24.36 a year or $2.03 per month.
-After the budget discussion is complete, there will be a time for residents to approach the board with any questions, concerns, or kudos!
