Join us for Connect & Play, a 6-week, drop-in style group series designed for parents and young children to strengthen their bond through joyful, structured play. Grounded in the Theraplay® model, each session offers engaging, developmentally attuned activities that promote connection, cooperation, and emotional regulation. Parents and children will play, laugh, and learn together in a supportive environment guided by trained facilitators, Carolynn Nagao Marcotte, LICSW and Katie Wessels, LICSW and Play Therapists at Champlain Center for Play Therapy and Family Counseling. Each week focuses on one or more of the core Theraplay dimensions—Structure, Engagement, Nurture, and Challenge—helping caregivers build confidence and deepen their understanding of their child’s emotional needs. Come to one session or join us for all eight—every visit is a new opportunity to grow your relationship through connection and fun. This program accommodates 10 parents/caregivers and 10 children ages 3-6. First come, first served.
