Tree Keeper Training

Posted Monday, March 25, 2019

Spring is nearly here, and soon we will be pulling out our gardening gloves and planting and pruning trees.  On Thursday, April 4th, the Village of Essex Junction Tree Advisory Committee and Branch Out Burlington will host a Tree Keeper Training.  Everyone who cares about trees is welcome, including those living outside of Burlington and Essex.  The training session is led by V.J. Comai, Burlington’s City Arborist. The program will cover information on how a tree grows, where to plant a tree, how to plant and care for it, and how to prune your trees correctly. We hope this training session will help the public take care of trees where ever they are.  All attendees will be entered in the drawing for a free tree!

When:  Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 6-8 PM

Where: Parks, Recreation & Waterfront Building at 645 Pine Street, Burlington, VT

What Else:  Light Refreshments will be served

RSVP: Margaret Skinner at 802-656-5440 or mskinner@ uvm.edu.  We need to know who is coming so we bring enough refreshments.
