Rec Kids Afterschool Program
Registration for the 2023-2024 school year has closed. Rec Kids 2024-2025 “Request for Registration” form will be available starting Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 9:00am.*
Rec Kids is a STARS accredited, Licensed Childcare program providing quality afterschool care for the Essex Westford School District.
WHO: K-5 students attending Hiawatha, Summit, Fleming, Essex Elementary, Founders, or Westford
DATE: Monday–Friday, EWSD school year calendar
TIME: From school dismissal until 6pm
Children will engage in a variety of fun, enriching, and engaging activities such as; sports, group games, field trips, homework support, and time to unwind at the end of the school day. A nutritious snack is provided each day as well.

Registration for 2024-2025 School Year
CURRENT FAMILIES (2023-2024 school year) can expect to hear from our team the first week of April 2024 to secure a spot for next year.
NEW FAMILY registration for the 2024-2025 school year begins Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 9:00 am and is online registration only. The link to the online ‘Request for Registration’ form will be available on this page and the home page of ejrp.org at 9:00 am on Wednesday, May 1. Please complete the online request form and submit - forms will be collected in the order they are received electronically. Submitting the form DOES NOT guarantee registration.

A representative from EJRP will follow-up via email to inform you of your registration status. If we are able to enroll your child, the $50 non-refundable registration fee will be due right away to secure placement and can be paid with a credit card over the phone or in your online account. This fee is not applicable to families who receive subsidy through Childcare Resource. If we are unable to register your child due to a lack of availability, we will not take the $50 payment to be put on a waitlist.
**Children who attend fewer than 5-days per week must maintain a consistent schedule for the days of the week that they participate, and must attend at least two days per week.
Rec Kids 2024-2025 Fees
*Beginning this year, EJRP will require families to be enrolled in auto debit from a credit card or debit card for all licensed childcare programs. Information on how to enroll will be sent at the time of registration.
Registration Fee: There is a $50 per child, non-refundable registration fee required at the time of registration for all families that do not qualify for the Childcare Financial Assistance Program through Childcare Resource.
Sibling Discount: For families with more than one child, each additional child will receive a $2.00/day discount.
Early Dismissal Rate: For any student registered on the day where EWSD has an early dismissal, there is an additional $4.00 fee.
