Board of Abatement

The Village Board of Abatement is made up of the Village Trustees, the Justices of the Peace that reside in the Village, and the Village Clerk/Treasurer. The Board of Abatement considers requests from taxpayers for abatement of taxes based on the criteria listed in Vermont Statutes Title 24, Section 1535. The Village Board of Abatement can only consider requests pertaining to the Village portion of the property taxes. Requests for abatement of taxes can be addressed to the Village Treasurer.
