Join the Tree Advisory Committee, Branch Out Burlington!, and the Burlington Parks, Recreation and Waterfront for "A Talk about Trees for Posterity" on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. at the Burlington Public Works Building at 645 Pine Street.

Burlington City Arborist V.J. Comai will take attendees through the key steps in planting a tree. This talk will cover basic tree biology, site assessment, species selection, various planting options, and the pros and cons of each, as well as best planting practices and aftercare throughout the establishment period.

With over 30 years of experience planting and maintaining trees, V.J. has seen it all. This presentation will help attendees avoid common mistakes that lead to premature tree failure and ensure that the trees they plant will be their gift to posterity. V.J. will also discuss the state of Burlington's urban forest, highlight recent work completed in Burlington, and discuss plans for the future.
