This year is the 41st anniversary of Green Up Day. This unique Vermont tradition helps us all practice stewardship on a local level and helps to keep the Village a beautiful place to live, work and play.

Bags are available at the Village office, Brownell Library and Essex Jct. Recreation & Parks Dept. the week before Green Up Day. 

Bags filled with roadside litter may be delivered to the Essex Jct. Municipal Building between 9 AM and noon on Green Up Day or left in the green belt on the following streets - Pearl, Park, Lincoln, Main, Maple, South Summit, West and South Streets.
